Rating:
I had been using an Omron HM 780 for about two years and had nothing against it apart from for the detail the arm- cuff is thick and rigid and never seemed to get really tight around my thin arm.
Although the 712C model does not be inflicted with as many features as the 780 one, it warns of the all-vital irregular sensitivity beat. Many of the features of the 780 I don’t feel I call for.
I compared readings from the two models and they were very accurate, but I feel more comfortable with the 712C’s flexible arm-cuff. The maximum circumference of your arm for this unit is 13 inches so if your arm is muscular or heavy you will not be able to use this cuff. Be sure to select the box for the 9″ to 13″ cuff as you will pay greatly more for the better cuff which is also available.
The 712C model is very reasonable in price, approximately $23.00 less than the 780, so if it can accommodate your arm and if you don’t call for all the advanced features I heartily recommend it over the more expensive one.
One caveat: the 712C does not come with an AC adapter or the required four AA batteries. I was able to use the adapter from the 780 set, but the unit will run fine on the batteries alone.
The Omron 712C is a very nice unit at a remarkably low price. Solely bear in mind that the low price is for the smaller cuff only.

This cuff is simple to use, the readings appear to be accurate (they jibe with readings in the doctor’s office), and the batteries are lasting longer than I expected. Inflation is somewhat loud, so you may want to accurate your office door if you’re measuring your BP at work. Cuffs are transferable between OMRON products; the large cuff from my manual bp monitor works solely fine on this battery-powered monitor. Also, somewhat to my surprise, the action of manually inflating the cuff does not look to affect readings; the facts are similar between both monitors. The cuff automatically inflates to 170 mmHG; if it senses that it needs to go higher, it will continue to inflate to 210 mmHG, and you can break down it to go even higher if your systolic pressure is really distinguished. No frills, apart from for a memory bank that retains 14 readings (blood pressure, pulse). Highly recommended.

My doctor recommended I buy this product and was questioned to bring it in to establish its correctness. He tested it and it passed with flying colors! It was extremely accurate when compared to his office blood pressure unit. I highly recommend this product.

I be inflicted with used the Omron HEM-712C Involuntary Blood Pressure Monitor for over a month. At first the readings were so inconsistant I thought the unit was faulty. After about a week of use the range of readings got smaller. I belive that having a consistant position of your deceased and arm plus an accurate positioning of the cuff leads to more consistant results.

After a doctor’s check-up, my blood pressure was higher than it had ever been. I resolute to take an active role in monitoring it so I prearranged the Omron HEM-712C from Amazon. This machine was also rated rather distinguished with Consumer Intelligence and the price was in-line with the suggested cost. It arrived in very small order and now both my wife and I monitor our BP ourselves. Excellent product at a very reasonable price.
